Creative Ideas/Home Based Business Additions

Being a former home based business owner and with ideas to start another one is coming into my mind as of lately. Many wonder isn't it a hassle? A huge challenge, trying for sells. How is it that or why would anyone want my products?

Well, it is all how you market and what incentives you offer. Do you or I go anywhere shopping at or look being a patron of a new place, without an incentive? More than likely, no. If you see an advertisement for a new business, you question and inquire about it before you actually go there. However, if they offer a FREE MEAL, FREE DRINK WITH PURCHASE, OR HALF OFF, we are usually there!

It is such a great idea. Furthermore, before starting, you need to have great capital. You need to be able to cover any and all expenses before you begin. Depending on the expenses of your business, find out all there is to know before jumping into anything.

Many easy, simple, self starter type of businesses, are Avon and Mary Kay. The two most popular for women to start and possibly succeed in. However, they aren't just limited to women, this could be a great adventure for men as well. They offer nice products for males, with such big celebrities promoting their own products through Avon, like Derek Jitter and McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey.

Also, very popular stars, like an american sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon and a Dreamgirl, Jennifer Hudson. It is quite nice that such huge stars are participating in this and sellling nice smelling affordable products to us, the everyday people.

Well, however, these are two great businesses to try. As, I was with Avon prior, and I did enjoy it, but at times, it was a bit difficult for me to keep up with due to the schedule I had when I had to let it go in 2008. It is become popular again to join business and I am reconsidering joining again!

Also, I feel it is great to offer free gift wrapping, and also I free product at purchase. These products are great too, to create or do gift baskets with. I originally, signed up to receive the discount on the products and to purchase as gifts for family members and friends. It went over so well and I did great, I received many orders and would make on average 50% to 100% profit on the baskets I created.

I believed in keeping it simple. So, I would only charge around $10-$20 for the gifts. Adding decorations and it all made them appear more expensive, as I mentioned before than anything.

Once more, take your time in deciding if you choose to try a home based business.  Offer other sells/deals not offered by company.  Free gift wrapping, free delivery, along with samples, or a free full size product to try.  Also, I created my own business cards and "club" and would give offers...and I had created a sample book with descriptions and pictures of all fragrances offered, it was all loved and enjoyed by coustomers.  I even had a raffle that went over well too!

If you do start your own business, come up with some great ideas from here on hub or look around at other areas too, I also, go to stores to get basket ideas and online businesses.  Another way to assist in setting your business up, create a Myspace page and/or Facebook to display your products, these are all free! Make a newsletter too! Many will love that get/give your email address (create one specific for your business) and wait and watch for all the people that have interest!  It is worth it if you decide way all your options!
